The KME sharpening stone thickness compensator provides quick, easy and precise angle adjustment when using different-sized sharpening stones. A thick sharpening stone decreases the sharpening angle compared to a flatter sharpening stone. This has a negative effect on the sharpening result because you no longer sharpen the entire edge. To make sure that, regardless of the thickness of the sharpening stone you use, you use the same angle KME developed this practical thickness compensator.
